February Favorites || 5 Easy Beauty Products

This month went by SO quickly! Even though it was a Leap Year and February was a day longer I feel like I blinked twice and now it's almost spring. For this month's favorites, I decided to pick my easiest beauty products that help save money, time and make me feel better all around.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color

I LOVE gel nails, but I can't always afford it at $35 a pop (hello, budget). That's why I love using Sally Hansen's Insta-Dry polish in Cinna-snap. This polish lasts a minimum a week for me and is less than $5 for the entire bottle. Who needs expensive gel nails now.

St. Tropez Self Tanner

When it's cold outside, and my skin is, um, pale, there's only one thing to solve my winter blues. A good tan... but a safe one. So I use St. Tropez Self Tanner with the mitt. (YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE MITT TO SAVE YOUR HANDS.)

I love this self-tanner because you can see it as it goes on so you know you don't miss anything, unlike other self-tanners. This one is a little pricier, but it actually gives you a great, natural tan without the orange. (Take this from a really pale white girl.)

Bumble and Bumble Dry Shampoo

Before being told about Bumble and Bumble dry shampoo I was using so many different types of sprays and it was only making my hair worse. This stuff, Prêt-à-powder is amazing - it's a great dry shampoo and volumizer in one. I actually put it on my hair after I wash and blow dry it to keep the clean hair last longer (and give it a good volume boost).

With using this, I only wash my hair 2-3 times per week. Saving a lot of time in the mornings!

Clarisonic - MIA 2

For about two years I deliberated about buying a Clarisonic and if it would be worth it... Well, I'm happy to say it is. Since using it last October, it helps really clean off all of my makeup at night, clean out pores and I think makes my Philosophy beauty products work even better.

It's also currently on sale at Nordstrom (free shipping!): Clarisonic Mia 2

Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Night

You may not sleep with your current nighttime moisturizer, but you will want to with Philosophy's Renewed Hope in a Jar Night

Your skin will wake up soft, dewy, glowy, amazing, and younger. Trust me. Try it.

These are my top 5 easy beauty products for my February Favorites. Have you tried any of these products? What do you think? Tell me in the comments below.

Easy Fried Egg and Hash Brown Bowl

If you're going to make anything this weekend, you need to make my fried egg and hash brown brunch bowl. I like to call it brunch because when I cook on the weekends it's always around 11 a.m. This is perfect for the weekends, snow days, dinner or anytime you just want something delicious.

I consider this the Sandra Lee of brunches. It's half homemade, half store bought but completely delicious.

You could dice a lot of potatoes then cut up some onions and peppers, or you could grab this bag from Ore Ida in the frozen section.

(Just grab this bag and make your life easier.)

Add some oil to your pan and saute. I like to still keep it figure friendly so adding oil to say 'saute' seems much healthier.

You will want an avocado on this dish.

Slice and dice it however you wish.

(Try not to rhyme)

I like my eggs over easy but this part can be your preference.

Last thing to do is plate!

Hash browns first.
Eggs second.
Toppings may include:
Avocado (DO IT)
Salsa
Cheese would also be delicious
Hot sauce would be an added bonus

Happy brunching!

Philosophy Clear Days Ahead Acne Wash

Ahhh... skin. It’s really hard to show the things you’re most embarrassed about. It’s even harder when it’s on your face for everyone to see.

For anyone who has struggled with blemishes and acne you know how hard it is to look at your skin and feel confident. It's even harder not to obsess, or pick, or hide so no one sees.

Even though I was lucky growing up with clear skin, in my late 20’s the hormonal breakouts and clogged pores started to really break my face out. The breakouts became so bad that I wasn’t going out with friends, doing normal things and it even started to take a toll on my confidence. In my mind, my skin was the only thing people could see and I couldn't see past it. I would wear more and more makeup trying to cover it up, only to know that I was wearing a pound of makeup. (Again, not great for your facial skin...)

Thankfully, I found something that's really made a HUGE difference in my skin... Philosophy Clear Days Ahead Acne Wash

Most problems in my skin were happening when I wasn’t washing my face consistently at night, traveling a lot or that, um, 'fun' time of the month. When I did some research and found the philosophy clear days ahead acne wash I had hope again! It was exactly what I was needing to clean up my bad habits.

Since using this facial wash, I have had minimum outbreaks. (Hormones are hormones after all...) After using the wash for about a week my outbreaks were clearing up dramatically, and my pores became so much smaller.

How I Use it:

  • If I workout after work, I make sure to pack some Purity Facial Wipes to use after I leave the gym to take off any makeup or sweat.

Thanks to my new clean skin routine, I see nothing but clear days ahead!

Where to buy with FREE shipping & returns!

January Favorites | 2016

Happy February 1! Can you believe that we're starting the second month of the year already? January was such a fun month - New Year's Eve, going to see the Arkansas Razorbacks play at the Liberty Bowl, spending a long weekend in New Orleans ... it was a great month.

There were also new products/things I found in January that I want to share in a monthly favorites blog. This month the favorites are a little all over the place - but randomness runs keep within me.

1. SlimFast 100 Calorie Snacks - Drizzled Crisps

To be honest, I was a little skeptical about these SlimFast snacks. Usually anything 100 calories isn't that great, but OMGosh these are so good. The little bites of cinnamon bun swirls are really sweet but not too sweet. It's a great snack to have when you need something sweet while working, or late at night. And you can't over indulge because it's only 100 calories and they are individually packaged. So delicious.

2. Ebates

I am loving using Ebates for my online shopping. Now that Christmas is over, I'm getting a rebate for all of my online shopping that I did. Getting paid to give to others - that's sweet online shopping good karma.

Maegan Clark, www.SouthernBlondie.com

I was having a hard time with breakouts during the holidays. The stress of the holidays, plus it's a stressful time at work, plus traveling, plus family stuff really took it's toll on my skin. I started using the Philosophy Purity Mask on a regular basis and it really helped clear things up.

4. Chelsea Does on Netflix

When it comes to binge watching I believe I deserve the gold medal. The amount of time I can sit in one spot without moving is inspiring and terrifying. When I wasn't feeling so good las weekend from a headache, I laid on the couch and watched ALL four Chelsea Does episodes on Netflix. They were self-indulgent, but fun to see her take on things.

Cooking is one of my favorite things to do. I spend way too much time reading cookbooks and magazines and watching cooking shows. What I've been into lately is watching the Tasty Videos on YouTube/Facebook. They make everything they cook so simple and easy.

Of all the social media platforms out there, SnapChat is one of the most fun. If you're on SnapChat you'll know what I mean, if you're not, you should join. today. right now. this minute. go. join.

7. Chipotle Salads

Yes, yes, yes. Chipotle is making people sick in SOME stores, but the Chipotle in Little Rock has never made me sick. I love their salads so much.

My salad:
Lettuce (+extra)
Peppers
Steak
Mild Salsa
A line of Hot Salsa on Top
Cheese

The perfect Chipotle salad.

These are my top favorite things for January! Hope you have a great start to the beginning of your February!

(I received the SlimFast products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. Reviews and opinions are my own.)
